David Tewodrose

Junior Professor

Vrije Universiteit Brussel

I am a junior professor in Mathematics at the Department of Mathematics and Data Science of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (Belgium).

My broad research field is geometric analysis. I am particularly interested in the following topis.

  • Spectral analysis and geometric properties of singular metric measure spaces, with a focus on AMV Laplacians.
  • Spectral optimization problems in both smooth and non-smooth settings.
  • Structure theory of degenerate Gromov–Hausdorff limits of Riemannian manifolds under curvature constraints.
  • Applications of geometric methods to the design of geometry-aware algorithms in data analysis.

COST Action mSPACE

Since September 2025, I represent Belgium on the Management Committee of the COST Action mSPACE CA24122. This network brings together researchers from across Europe to explore the mathematical foundations of multi-scale systems.
